Recording of Consultations and Meetings – Privacy Information
At Bewicke Medical Centre, we may record some consultations or meetings to help us provide safe and effective care. Please note consent will be requested prior from the patient if any consultations were to be recorded.
Why we record
Recordings may be used to:
- Help create accurate clinical notes
- Support patient safety and continuity of care
- Reduce administrative workload for staff

Some recordings may be transcribed or summarised using approved AI tools. These tools only support staff – all decisions about care are made by qualified clinicians.
When recording happens
- You will always be told in advance if a consultation or meeting is being recorded
- We do not make secret or covert recordings

- If you do not want your consultation recorded, please tell us
- This will not affect your care, and alternatives will be offered where possible
